long vs short block
can some one help me out?
exactly what parts are included when you are buying a long block? i know accessories, alt, UIM, LIM.... is thre harness, motor mounts, clutch etc included? TIA -benny |
No clutch parts.
Flywheel maybe...... Motor mounts and harness, almost never. A "pull out" maybe, longblock no. |
I don't think there is a shortblock rotary engine. On a piston motor, longblock includes the cyl heads, while the shortblock is only the block and rotating assembly.

shortblock on a rotary is usually just the keg

as stated above, that's the shortblock.. there is no long block.. but there is a "turn key" motor which i'm unsure if still availble for "REW's" but i can check :)

I would have considered the above pictured engine a long block. I guess piston to rotary just doesn't translate well.

i would consider a long block i rotary terms that has like the uim and lim and then a short block would just be the keg
