A little help? (boost/breakup/bucking?)

Ok I'm having a little bit of an issue with my 94 Rx-7. So yesterday I moved my 7 into the driveway, not really paying attention I stupidly shut it down cold. I didnt realise at the time, because I was too pre-occupied with installing my new Ast. So I finish that up and I try to start it up, and it just keeps turning over. So I go inside to figure how to deflood it, and by the time I finish its dark so I call it a night.

So today I try to start it, no go. One more time with some gas and cars running and smoke is pluming. I'm in town so I'm keeping the revs low untill get out a little.

Problem: I finally get on it and when I hit ~6-7 psi the car completely dies. I wont go higher and buck and sputters (think porky pig). I try it a few more times, same result. It wont pass 6-7 psi and bucks and sputters untill i get off the throttle, it physically wont let me get past that boost level. It didnt nessisarily depend on RPM. Drive was at night, I'm using the stock twins with a streetported engine.

So whats the problem from, New AST? Flooding?

Between the flooding and the bucking, I suspect it's an injection problem. Have you done any work on the injectors lately?

i havent done anything. the car has been running fine for the past few months. im gonna go for another drive tomorrow to see if i can get some more info

Give it another drive. If the problem is still there, try some new spark plugs.

Almost sounds like limp mode, but I'm not sure...have you tried disconnecting the battery for a while?

mine just started doing something similar, but after i run it for about 10 minutes itquits doing it.

I apologize for jacking your thread, but something you said stuck out to me..It is bad to shut an FD off while it's still cold??

Some FDs will flood if shut off during the warm-up cycle. New, tight, well-tuned engines don't tend to have the problem.
