Leaking heater hose
One of my heater hoses is leaking at the firewall. Do I have to remove the whole dash to get to it, or is there an easier way?
Thanks. |
If it's the rubber hose, no.
If it's the metal hard line, that might be another story. I'd start by changing the rubber hoses with OEM replacements and also make sure to clean off the crust on the metal pipe where the hose overlaps. |
Pray that its that rubber hose. If you are leaking at the firewall and its on the inside, you will have to remove your dash to get to it. Otherwise disconnect from the wall and loop it. You won't have heat but you may save a bunch of coolant from going into your car and potentially damaging carpet, wires, etc.
