Labor cost for clutch on FD
 

what's the average charge for labor to change a clutch on an FD?

it takes me about 3.5 HRS. i dont know what shops charge. i know how long it takes me... :D i think my first time it took me about 5-6 hrs.

Only 3.5 hours?! I thought it would be more than that.

Mazda says (in the books) that it takes 6 hours. My mechanic took slightly less, and he replaced the clutch line too. Figure roughly 5-6 hours x your local labor rate.

I ordered my parts from mazdatrix (lightened flywheel & OEm clutch) and had a local SF Shop(AllSpeed Motors) install it for $360.00

i have had that thing out more times than i can count. :rolleyes: when you know exactly what to do, it can knock some time off the job. ;) and i have always used a lift. i dont think i could do it on the ground. props to those who have though.

TOO MUCH INFO ...:D you sick puppy. I bet when you do change your underwear you just flip them inside out too?
