Knock sensor Wire?

I was getting fuel cut with the PFS PMS. So I went to move my knock sensor but in the process of moving it over the 4inches it came completly out. short wire connector and bolt/sensor. I found the connection broke rate in the middle of the rats nest. After moving around a screwdriver in the area I found it but when trying to move it I broke the connection peice and found that the wire has no slack and couldn't even reach the other connector to come together.

Where does that wire go too, how can I find where it comes out of vacum mess?
Can it just be replaced by a regular same gauge wire soldered in?
Thanks Ryan

wire

if you pull the alternator its easy to get to ...i had the same thing happen before. if you solder make sure you pull the shielding back ..it is a shielded cable .ill take pics for you if you need them

It goes to the ECU... If you go to AEM's website or search here you'l find the "Pin Outs" to the ECU, you could run a brand new wire...

As I remember with the AEM box I tried to run Dual Knock Sensors.... the Trick with Knock Sensors (Microphones) is to know what Ambient Noise is, and then set a threshold on what you consider knocking... Depending on the age of the sensor, and the shielding on the wires, as well as EFI noise from the spark plug wires, this can be very different from car to car...

This is why I thought that the Power FC, (When I owned one) didn't do any fuel or ignition cut, when it detected knock... you could just monitor it on the commander... and decided what was acceptable when you were tuning it...

Do you guys know what color wire that knock sensor is connected to? Ive had a hard time finding mine.

Its on the harness extension that goes to the power steering right?
