Hello Everyone,

Hopefully I can explain this clearly.... I just finished my engine rebuild and single turbo conversion. I was getting ready to prime the fuel system when I noticed a problem... I turned the key on and the fuel pump saw 12v + for a couple of seconds, then hear a click in the engine compartment and then lose voltage to the pump. I traced it down and think the EGI Main Relay is clicking.... and the cause of it is my FJO Driver (I believe). Attached is a few diagrams, one is the way I have the FJO wired up now and one is the way I think it should be wired. Please let me know so I don't tear the motor apart to re-wire when it wont make a difference.

Also... I made sure that each negative injector wire went to the corresponding FJO Wires. For example... the front primary injector (light green/red) bridged with the green solid FJO Wire, went to the green/white FJO wire to the front primary injector negative terminal... and so on... so that's not the issue. Thanks!

well, it is pretty obvious why your fuse is blowing like crazy. you've grounded your FJO driver to the engine harness Battery voltage circuit. (from picture one)

Basically to fix the problem, your FJO driver need to find another ground and just ground it. Not reconnect back to the ecu harness.

Ok forget about polarities and whats positive or negative. I labeled my drawings wrong. I attached a new diagram with I hope a more correct labeling of the way I have it hooked up....

my question to you is, why are you pulling power from the EGI fuse/relay? Maybe that's why you are overloading the circuit it is designed for therefore popping the EGI fuse.

nvm, i've read the diagram and somehow I believe you have shorted the circuit. Here's some information I've searched up for yah:

My recommendation is out an inline 10amp fuse at the power circuit to the FJO driver to prevent it from toasting. It has happened that somehow an alternator ground wire has shorted the EGI circuit and causing it to pop the fuse and short the FJO driver. With the fuse there, you will have a secured protection incase of situation like that.

Alright believe I figured it out but don't know what I did. I called up FJO to get reassurance, he went over the diagram I drew and said that there is no problem the way I have it hooked up. Although the supply wire from the EGI (Blk/Yellow) wasn't seeing 12v when ignition was on. So I cut away the electrical tape and started to trace wires. Somehow got to the computer messed with wires, still nothing. Then I decided to hook up the old computer and wouldn't you know 12v. So I thought my new PFC was defective, swapped the old one out and for some reason its still holds at 12v??? Idk what I did, but it works and I'll take it. As for the fuel pump turning off. It is normal, when the key is only in the on position. The fuel pump is supposed to shut off if the motor is not turned over. I jumped the ground and f/p in the diagnostics box, set the fpr to 40psi and it holds no problem. Thanks AzEKnightz for the help!

My apologize for misreading your thread title: Keep "popping" EGI relay.

I was thinking you were shorting out the EGI fuse/relay. My apologize for I am not feeling too well today have misreading things left and right. (this is the third time today).

Yes, it is NORMAL for the egi relay to click when the key its on. The ecu will ground the relay to prime the fuel system momentarily.

From the second diagram you've posted it is correct if all polarities are connected accordingly.

I am glad my misleading information didnt misguided you and wasted any of your time.

Anyways, if any problem persist. Feel free to ask after a search otherwise guys will flame you here on the forum..
