K2RD fuel rail specs...

does anyone know what size the fittings are that go into the secondary fuel rail? Are they -6an or -8an lines?

Thanks for your help.:)

most likely 3/8" NPT, there are plenty of NPT to -AN adapters, both 6 and 8..

I need to know so I can order parts without taking the car down for a long period of time.

The K2RD is a -6 port and the front uses the stock fitting from the primary rail.

thanks you very much. Now to figure out how to make it -8 an for my fuel lines.

unvmyrx7 01-09-04 07:47 PM

i bought mine used without fittings. i had to buy 2 -8 to -6 an fittings. the inside diameter of the rail is not npt, its -8an. u need 2 rubber 0 rings along with the adapter. i used the -8 to -6 because i'm using -6 braided lines

hmmmm, confused. which is it? I wanna run -8an lines. Are there two setups?

I called them 6 times today and couldn't an answer, leaving messages twice.

anyone else?

It all depends on how you are using the rail. The rear port will take a -6 90 degree fitting. The front port accepts the stock banjo bolt from the primary rail.

i believe what he is asking is what do they tap the rail for? is it a metric thread?
unvmyrx7 said that the "diameter" is -8.... but is it "threaded" -8? or did they use a NPT, or a metric thread.
i *believe* he is trying to do away with the fittings that are on the rail as it comes (banjo thread and the -6 fitting) to run full -8 lines. ;)

thanks for the help. At times words escape me.

I am trying to fab a new fuel delivery system with the help of another RX7Forum member.:) I want to run -8an lines to both rails.
