Just rebuilt, but now low compression. stuck seal?

my friend recently rebuilt his 93 rx7 (fd) in 2006. now he has slightly low compression. is this just the usual stuck seal?

How low?

What are the numbers for each rotorface?

Ive had one set of apex seals stick (the motor was built and wasnt installed for 5 months) and it didnt want to start. I pull started it, and it was like someone flipped a switch. The motor ran fine and had perfect compression.

"the usual stuck seal" on a freshly rebuilt motor? no.

1. how low is "slightly low" compressio?
2. what did he clearance the sideseals to?
3. in what condition were the parts (new housings?)

totally agree, my situation was pretty rare, but im just saying it can happen. Ive built a ton of other motors that worked as they should...

I dont want people to think that it is normal thing...

He isnt giving us enough information to come to any conclusion.

sorry guys, im trying. ill ask him again when I see him. Im actually looking to buy this car, so yes your right, I need tons more info! thats all I have to work with myself ( untell I see the car tommorow) so I just wanted to know if it was an "easy fix" or not. ill get back to this in a few.

the only other bit of info I have right now is that he bought the car in Nov. 2000, and have been rebulding it bit by bit ever since. he has since worked his way through the TTs, tranny and then the engine. (he finished this a few months back) he bought the car with 81,051 on it and it now has 81,309. hes asking around 9grand. he was actually a friend of a friend so I dont know to much else yet. this seems kind of low for this car. too good to be true? or is it gonna clunk soon? I know these things seem to go at 100k...but the rebuld should arrest and restart that number, right?
