Just bought my FD

hey guys i just bought a black 93 FD. i'm a newbie here and dont know much about the car but trying to learn. i was just wondering if you guys had any input as to what i should do next? should i change out all my fluids, change the spark plugs, wires, etc? if so what kind of oil, tranny fluid, etc? any input would be great, i am trying to make my car as reliable as possible.

Germ

ps: the car has 77K miles on the motor

I like the fact that you don't go straight for power and cosmetic upgrades like a lot of the people I've seen that post the "just got my FD" thread.

ditto

in anycase, the reliblity mods should keep you busy for a while and should cost you some big bucks. the best advice i can tell you to do is to first buy water/boost gauge, you should not be driving car without one, secondly be very careful in the rain!

have fun

Congrats on the buy! I notice that you are in the Bay Area and if you haven't already done the 75K maintenance, take your car down to Rick's Rotary Performance in Pleasanton and have them take care of it. Rick and Dave are two very highly regarded rotary mechanics and provide excellent customer service.

hey guys thanks for all the good input...yes i've heard of rick's and was planning on taken the car there once my warrenty kicks in and have them take a look at the car and give it a rundown...i want to make sure the car is in tiptop share before modding it this will be a slow on going process but willing to take the time inorder to do it right. if there is anything else that you guys can think of please feel free to chime in i'm always welcome to suggestions and willing to learn.
