It's that time of year when you fix little problems before spring - question inside

I asked about this a few months ago, but when I did a search, I just couldn't find specific answers.

My car has been giving me the bad OMP position sensor code just before the end of last summer. Something that still hasn't been fixed but needs to.

Should I just remove the OMP completely? I know I can't do that with the original ECU, but I do have a Power FC ready to be installed.
I would then run with premix all the time, but how are is it to remove the OMP, is it much of a hassle, etc?
To be honnest I don't even know where that OMP and its sensor are located.

Oh, something that seems strange, the car is giving me the code and check engine was constantly lit, but it isn't running in limp mode at all, I think I would've noticed with the very specific type of driving I have in my FD :D

Oh yeah, I'd also like your recommendation on which emblem to put on her.
Keep in mind I only want to buy the badges because I'm missing the dash in RX - 7 on the rear end and have no front emblem.

I was thinking efini, but then I can't figure out which color, my FD is Blue (saphir blue mica).

Someone on the canadian board suggested I simply take the 'flying M" emblem, whoch I think is a cool idea but would I put one on both end?

Those decesions are hard to take for me, since I'm not really "looks" inclined.

man, my neighbor has a Flying M on his front and i think it looks much better than the Efini or the Toilet seat one... personally, when it comes time to paint mine, i'm gonna put the M's front and back and drop the Mazda RX-7 badge all together i think.

Just buy another OMP from the Classifieds. Put the car up on jackstands(ramps are MUCH better). Take off the undertray. Unbolt the lines 1st(easy), then unbolt the 3 bolts holding the OMP in. If you have a socketwrench, a long extension and the right size socket you'll get it out. I just did mine last week. Of course it'll be more work to change the lines and check the oil injectors at the top of the block, but you probably arent changing your lines.
Keep the badges appropiate for your year car. Unless your doing a whole 99 kit the M will look bogus and unless your car's kinda tricked out or body kitted up the Efini looks kinda bogus. I'm very happy with my "toilet seat" thank you very much.

May I ask why it'd be better to simply replace the OMP?
I'm not even sure it's REALLY bad, since my car isn't running in limp mode...

thanks :)
