Its Alive! Alive!

Well, I finally got my car running again. I blew the engine around Thanksgiving and have been acquiring parts and working on the car as time permits.
Here is a list of upgrades.
New Engine from Malloy
A-Spec GT35R Kit
Fuel Kit 550/1680
FJO injector Driver
Coolingmist Trunk mount AI
Datalogit
Innovate LC1 wideband
Coil pack Relocation
Wiring Harness simplification
Rats nest removal
Fuel pump rewire
Fan Mod with Factory fog light switch
Fluidyne Radiator
Oil catch can
ETC.
The car started the first try and after some TPS work would idle. I drove it to a local car meet and it drew a large crowd. The car is running pig rich with AFRs at 10.2 at cruise and dips to the 9's with slight throttle input. I will start logging this weekend and pull some fuel out.
I would like to thank

and probably 100 other people that I didn't list.
I couldn't have done it without you. I will try and post some pics this weekend.

post your map and some logs, with the wideband wired into the Datalogit. what did you set your base fuel pressure to? Also, make sure you have the primary injector atomization port hooked up.

Congrats, I'm waiting for my single to put my car back on the road for the second time this summer, lol.

FixableUnknown 07-17-09 06:19 AM

I will try to post some log info this weekend. I have my fuel pressure set at 38psi and unfortunately I had all of my unused vacuum ports welded shut which included the atomization port. I have another lim if this causes too much of a problem.

94touringFD I read about your turbo mishap. I hope you get your car going soon.

Thanks, It sucks that most of the rotary guys are in middle and east TN, but I will try to get up there for a meet some day.

Nice man. Post pics when you get a chance. Hopefully I'll see you around too.

Funny you should say that. I thought all of the rotary guys were in middle to west TN!
Location here is Knoxville. BTW, Congrats on getting your car going again! :)

I still need to tidy up some vaccum lines and get some flex couplings for some of the IC piping.

Ooooh! Nice! I like very much! :)
Here is a shot of mine. A little different than yours right now.

ditch the plastic vacuum tee

and I would avoid any angled silicone couplers. They don't hold up that well over time.

I need the ones that look like a donut in the middle that allow for slight misalignment. I have a few connections that are a couple of degrees off. I was told this could cause a failure of a standard connector.

Looks good speeder. I am amazed how Quiet my new engine (Malloy New not Reman) is compared to my old one.

I ran out of 6mm line so I had to use 5mm to the wastegate. I have a brass T and more 6mm line on order from Hose teqniques. I just couldn't squeeze the 5mm over my brass T

I did some dataloging today and ran into a problem. I can see the AFR numbers on mapwatch but when I stop loging and save the file and then try to reopen the numbers disappear. The mapwatch files contains the red cells where the log info was but no numbers. I would also like to post my map on the forum but it wont allow me to post that file type. Any suggestions?
