Re: shipping an engine

i would agree also to not use UPS, i used to work there and we broke all kinds of stuff. also i'm not sure if UPS would even take it, i don't think they take anything over 150lbs.

I don't think Fedex Freight will pick up at a residential address either, but all you would have to do is find a way to get it to a business. Find someone with a truck! The engine & crate only weight 210 lbs, so it's easy for two people to pick up and move around.

Malloy Mazda shipped my engine through FEDEX, but it was to a rotary shop. Shipping was $75 for shipping the reman to the shop and picking up the core from the shop.

About the core charge, Ray told me I had 30 days to ship the core back to him. He never charged me the $1000 for the core, but I assume he would after the 30 days was up. I used a credit card, so maybe that was why he did it.

Yeah, he never charged me either. It's sorta a good faith kinda thing. I did keep the core for longer than 30 days. He actually called me and asked for it. :o:
Where's my core, bitch?!!! :D
