interior door panel removal....how do i do it?

Im tring to replace my speakers and i can't get the passanger side interior door panel off. I removed the visible screws, but its not coming off. Ive already broke to many things in life by just pulling. Please help

There are two screws toward the mirror, one at the back of the panel near the latching mechanism, one under a cap where the passenger handle is, and one in the door cup under a little cap there too.

you have to pull the door cup out before trying to pull the panel off first.

IIRC, there is also a screw behind the power window switch.

I cant get the door handle cap off after i removed the screw. Are there brackets holding it in?

There are no screws holding the door cup, it's just "delicate" work.

Make sure you get the screw behind the pwr window switch! Pry the window switch out, and you'll see it.

Why would you hide a screw behind the power window switch?!

That is the one I was missing... Thank you!

You really expect Mazda to use logic and common sense on all aspects of anything it makes? If so your understanding of reality is askew.

How dare you expect reason or ergonomics.

There are many vehicles with screws behind a pop-out window switch. Not that uncommon.

Not as bad as Honda hiding 4 bolts behind the axle to hold the brake rotor to the hub.
