Interest in a new fuel rail
 

I'm thinking about going flex fuel and installing a couple extra injectors on the secondary rail, and I've been talking to Charles at CJ Motorsports about making a rail for me that has four injector ports, the outlet to the primary rail, a port for a temp or pressure sensor (I'm using it for pressure currently), and the FPD that they have on some of their rails already. He said he doesn't believe he'd sell more than 10, and he's probably right, but I figured I'd see if there was any more interest out there for this or if I was the only one.

I'm not sure how beneficial the FPD is anyway. I know it comes stock on our cars but it seems most people are fine without it.

Anyone interested?

Most aftermarket regulators act as a damper. Its not needed and it has been found it can even be removed on stock car with no ill effects.

Many cars never suffer any noticable ill side effects of removing the damper, although they are there. The severity can differ from car to car. Many are hardly noticeable, some are downright annoying to drive.

It often depends on the quality of the tune on the vehicle. If the car does not drive very smooth or have a very smooth and steady A/F to begin with, then the side effects of not having the pulsation dampers would be impossible to isolate. This is why most shops think you would never need them. But as engine management options and aftermarket tuning skills continue to evolve, you will see them getting reintegrated more often.

On an otherwise flawlessly running vehicle, this is when you have an opportunity to notice if the particular vehicle exhibits any problems that effect the driving experience.

You may not have personally detected it, but I have seen it with my own eyes and can tell you with the utmost certainty that OEM manufacturers do not put them in their cars just for fun.

Well if I choose to not do flex fuel, maybe I'll get one of your newer rails with the FPD lol.
