intercooler price question

I did a search and can't find the info I want. I don't understand why an intercooler set up costs so much more than a radiator when they do similar things. I'm just wondering, so if anyone as any opinion on the matter I would be glad to hear it. THanks. Also I noticed intercooler kits for other car can be gotten for way cheaper than an fd kit. Can one of those kits be made to fit my fd without too much work? Sorry If I sound like a newb cause I am.

Yes other intercooler kits from other cars can be made to fit into your FD but it will take a lot of time and custom work. By the time your done you will have spent as much as a good FD kit.

Horsepower costs money. The only thing that you need to ask yourself is how fast do you really want to go?

Me and a friend(that have built ICs before) are building one IC each for our cars (both FDs) from a Truck IC. End cost will be about 500$ but it will require LOTS of work and knowhow. If my friend hadnt done it before id buy a kit.

If you aren't going to be making more than 300-350RWHP pick up an SRT-4 or Evo 8 FMIC, have the pipes rewelded and bolt it on to your front bumper and run some pipes, you can do it all for $400-$500 if you can do most of it yourself.
