Intercooler Duct Dimensions

I am working on making some templates for my SMIC duct. The size and location is similar to the M2's. I was wondering if anyone has templates they could send me or post that show some of the dimensions of the duct that goes to the front bumper and through the rad support. Also the area over the radiator for airflow clearance.

Thanks

If you are creating your own duct, take your own measurements and make prototypes until you get it right.

The portion that runs from through the rad support to the bumper is the portion I'm worried about. I would rather base what I'm doing on a proven design. I bought my vehicle with a FMIC so I have never seen the IC ducting for even the stock intercooler.

Well, it's not really rocket science. It has to fit through the opening and widen to the SMIC. You just need to take measurements and use something like foam to prototype the design. Here's what someone is doing on the forum:

Thanks, I must have missed that thread in my searches.

The snorkle fitting under frame and over radiator out to front opening si VERY dependent on radiator type and fit. I cut posterboard templates (in vertical plane) then ridgid foamboard templates ... had four cross section types LHS over fans, same with cable notchon upper face, mid alonside fan, rhs .. then laid out into a 3d form with foam .... have fun
