intercooler
Im just wondering if it would be safe to use the stock ecu with a PFS intake, dp, exhaust and an PFS intercooler. Im thinking as long as the boost is OK then i should be fine right?

As long as you can control the boost and keep it at stock levels, tests have shown that you should be ok.

as long as you keep the boost at 10 psi, whether w/ the home depot boost controller or an electronic boost controller you will be fine.

yea right now i have a profec b, im just thinking about doing this set up temporarily until i can find a used petit unlimited ecu

You should be safe. Not to be rude, but I wouldn't waste your money on a reprogrammed ECU like the Pettit unlimited or the M2 unit. If you're gonna do it you'll be happier in the long run using a stand alone like the Power FC or the Haltech system. I've seen that scenario play out way way too many times. Just my .02

Thanx for the backing Damian. Good to know that someone out there agrees with me.

I still would not drive it hard in the slightest....get anything, even a f-con, youll be sorry if you don't!
I know people who have poped their engine at 9 psi who did the same thing.......first fuel computer, THEN other mods. mmmmmm....... new engine $5000 fuel computer $1200 easy math.....are u a gambler? just my 2 cents. |

Just my .02 Either way you should get an ECU after 2 mods, and after the 3rd mod you should also consider doing an upgraded fuel pump as well. RX7's have been known to blow up pretty easily even with very few mods, you should play it safe |
You'll be fine, just maintain your car.
