Install In-tank Bosch 044
 
Haven't gotten any fittings and fuel lines for the fuel system but will want to know the best in-tank setup for a single Bosch pump before I start buying things like fittings and lines. All I need is some guidance and help like what to buy and such to make my fuel setup happen. Thanks in advance.

Why not a walbro 460lph pump? I would imagine atleast a walbro is closer to direct drop in pump.

What are your goals, than a drop in Walbro or Aeromotive or AEM pump can't solve? The Bosch is archaic and noisy...personally speaking, the big Walbro is silent.

Places like Pegasus and Jay racing have the required lower fitting/sock, and the upper fitting, including a needed check valve (the 044 doesn't have one), and -6 to 5/16" hose barb adapter. From there it's east, just shorten the tube on the fuel pump tree, run a couple inches of SUBMERSIBLE fuel hose to the pump, strap it on the tree and go.

I isolated the pump with some 1/8" thick viton, and it's really not that noisy—and I like that it's OEM technology.

I'm going big single s366 and V mount, want to go 450+ whp and reliable. Will be street driven but not too sure at the track. I want to go intank setup with either Bosch 044 or walbro to run e85. What you guys think?

Are rubber hoses a big problem for e85 the return and feed? There's a guy on YouTube running stock fuel lines and says he hasn't had a problem at all. I'm just trying to clarify things here before going under the car.

That I don't know... I don't have access to E85, but I don't think the 044 itself is an E85 pump, so you may want to go a different direction, like Walbro, for E85, especially since it requires so much flow as well.

044 is a good pump but very outdated and is not E85 rated. Modern pumps are more efficient, quieter, and draw less amperage. I would go with a Walbro 450 for most goals around 500-550whp. E85 can eventually deteriorate stock rubber hoses as well as oil control rings, rear main seals, etc if they are not rated for it. Just because it seems to work doesn't mean it is recommended or won't cause issues in the long run.

I'm really digging going e85, but now that you mention that robber seals will deteriorate makes want to go water/methanol now. All I have is a streetport. Will I be seeing the same kind of numbers on both? Have you seen experience on bad situations on going e85 on a 13b? How long will the motor last if the seals are not suited for alcohol?
