Injectors Connectors Lock Removal / Depin... How To ??
 
Guys,

Do I need to remove this yellow lock to depin the Injectors connectors ??

I tried to pull it up but it doesn´t seem to unlock easily.

Am I doing something wrong ??

yes to my memory they need to come out, Mazda Might have some sort of SST (special service tool) that you can go through that little slot, but I removed it on mine when de-pinning...

I have a set of "surgical" style pliers I used that worked quite well for occasions like this.... like the bottom set in this picture..

See that tiny slot just above the actual pin? I think that's the unlock if memory serves.

Best tool for doing de-pinning is the metal piece of an old wiper blade. Cut it down short then grind the tip to a point. It's thin and super stiff, works wonders.

Those connectors are multi piece. The white plastic inside is a separate piece, it needs to come out. But, if they're original connectors, you most likely will destroy them taking them apart, the tiny plastic clips and whatnot will likely be so brittle that when you go to release them they'll break.

Thanks for your help...

I tried to release them following your tips but they were very close to break.

I fianlly depined from ECU Connectors (very easy) to Heat Shrink the wires.
