The electric mirror switch on my fd has broken a tiny piece of plastic, which makes it not sit in the door properly. I'm sure this piece of plastic would cost about 3cents to make but mazda want AUS$475 to replace the whole switch. Does anyone know if this switch is available on any other model of car or if it is available aftermarket. I know its probably easiest to glue it but I like to buy new stuff if possible.

Thanks a plenty!

Yeah... the Mazda dealerships are a PITA when something tiny breaks, for example a bracket on my drivers side front view mirror broke and they would only sell me a whole new mirror... ( Being broke at the time I decided to poxy it together. It works fine now.) Maybe you could ask around here if anyone has any extra parts that they would be willing to sell you or you could glue/poxy it... Anyone else want to put in their $00.02?

Yea same here it's not notciable in mine when the door is closed but when it's open it's obvious it does not sit flush. I was thinking of taking a little glue to get it to stay down.

Someone has tried to do that on mine before and it hasn't worked that well. If you still have the piece that broke off it is better to glue that back on. If you don't have it then maybe make something. I was lucky enough to find the broken piece in the bottom of the door and I glued it today but the glue is still drying so I'm not sure how well it worked yet.
