Ignition switch
 

Hi
Anyone had a faulty ignition switch? Is this common on the 3rd gen. What problems does it give.
When the car is warm I have intermittent failure of the engine to crank. If I keep trying it will turn and start. Does this sound like the switch or something else.

I would suspect the starter solenoid or its wiring if it only happens when hot. Check those out first.

i have had everything replaced in my starting system, and it still is acting the way you have described, the last thing is the ignition switch.....

Yeah, I suffer the same thing....sometimes you have to hit the key several times before it will turn over.....kinda sucks, sort of embarrassing.....

If it's an automatic try pushing the lever up like your trying to go into another mode above park......... sometimes the starter cut on automatcics are touchy.
