If you could have any FD part made....

As the title states, If you could have any part custom made(preferably not currently on the market) what would it be? Lets hear some ideas of parts we need or want that are currently not available

RX7Crazy_84 02-17-09 11:13 PM

Front lower control arm and upper

scotty305 02-17-09 11:25 PM

reverse-direction water pump, so the air pump could be eliminated without the need for an idler pulley to reduce belt slippage

Mister Destiny 02-17-09 11:36 PM

adjustable steering column

Trout2 02-17-09 11:51 PM

Titanium rotors

Sarusanj 02-17-09 11:54 PM

Good one. I'd love a tilting, telescoping steering column setup.

slocalsvt 02-18-09 12:29 AM

turbojeff battery tray.. heh

and maybe a cf sunroof panel.

Chameleon 02-18-09 12:34 AM

Carbon fiber pop up headlight covers

Prometheus 02-18-09 01:44 AM

A nice center consol with illuminated cup holders.

A dash with optional gauge cluster instead of a flyRx-7 speaker mount. (it's a nice piece, bug up close you can tell it's after market ... In a bad way)

Stainless seq. Manifold. (external wastegate option would be sweet)

^^^ I'm actually trying to do this on my fd.

Excessive engineering LIM for a 13B RE UIM.

^^^ currently contacting Rich about doing a one off piece for me.

MOTEC plug/play ecu, like the ones they have for the Evo's and STI's

Drop spindles.

There is a ton of cool little things that current cars have that our cars don't.

Monkman33 02-18-09 02:10 AM

A more OEM looking sleek headlight kit that doesn't use double-sided sticky tape and uses oem style hids.

Something that looks like it goes on the car without disrupting the lines of the front end.

fendamonky 02-18-09 04:48 AM

Another source for upgraded Solenoids (for us peeps still on twins) since Rob seems to have been MIA for the last forever =(

look at the Motec M2R, that is what it is for a 2 rotor :)

Aeka GSR 02-18-09 09:48 AM

electrical connectors without having to buy the whole harness.

7_rocket 02-18-09 09:51 AM

A reliable motor

spiku 02-18-09 09:55 AM

Customizable multi-functional display similar to the GT-R.

Headlight covers, passengers side interior door handle, drivers side window switches, and the lid on the drivers side door pocket ALL to be made out a more durable material. Because they ALL break eventually.

dgeesaman 02-18-09 11:47 AM

Hmm. You want practical or completely impractical? I'll go for both.
- Upgraded solenoids that fit in the stock rack
- Billet clutch fork
- Ultralightweight rotors (aluminum, titanium, etc)
- A kit for installing water injection in a stock or nearly-stock car
- Better interior parts
- Tilt steering column
- Elevated rear-view mirror mount

Dave

djseven 02-18-09 12:34 PM

Adjustable steering wheel, other than that, I love the fd the way it is.

Laz93RX7 02-18-09 12:49 PM

electonic A/C & power steering. not pulley driven.

KaiFD3S 02-18-09 03:17 PM

A brand new FD with a 3 Rotor single turbo motor that uses a Motec from factory, spirit R seats, with the 99 body flared that has at least 305's in the rear...LOL...

FearNoPiston 02-18-09 03:27 PM

a hover conversion.

Has anyone ever had their fd jacked up and looked at the rear...looks like a hover craft

purerx7 02-18-09 03:32 PM

A reliable 13b motor. One where I do not have to be scarred to go WOT and I do not have to pray that it starts in the morning.
