(If) Exhaust Leak after Turbo, no real threat right?

Since installing the DP the sound of the engine doing its thing is loud. Alot louder than I thought it would be. Im assuming its normal for it to sound like a read Drag Car after the DP upgrade? You just never hear of anyone complaining about the new noise increase. *no the turbos spooling isnt the noise Im complaining of.
BUT, since it does seem alot louder, Im throwing the idea around that there might be a small exhaust leak where the DP mates up with the turbos. I can only visually see the front of the DP (towards the front of the car anyway) it looks flush to me and Im assuming since I torqued the nuts down to spec that its on all the way. So to get to my question, even if there is a small leak at that spot, its not really gonna make a big difference in the performance right? No real loss power or anything?

I can't imagine that it's a good thing to have wicked mad exhaust flow in all directions, instead of in a straight pipe...but what do I know???

If it's a small leak, I don't think it would cause a performance problem maybe just an emissions problem.

well put.
I really dont think I do. Ive gotten down and dirty with it and just dont see where theres a big enough gap, or signs of exhaust gases exiting.
Just wanted to make sure I didnt need to take drastic measures.
thanks

i agree, but i would look for where it is, if its after the downpipe it shouldnt be a problem, even if its bad, u jus gotta let the sucker idle b4 turnin it off so u dont get that cold air to rush up ur pipes but find out where it is, if u even have one, cause a downpipe does make it louder

We don't really care how loud it is, only how FAST it is! Besides, what's a little noise between friends...

if you don't already have a boost gauge it would probably be a good idea to buy / borrow one to check and see that you are not over boosting....if there is a leak on the DP side of the turbos there is less restriction in the exhaust it will cause your turbos to spool faster and boost higher...Don't want them boosting too high :D

thanks apneablue, this is why i'm having overboosting conditions!!

i have an exhuast leak somewhere and i'm losing boost on high end and spiking ont he low end
