Idle Speed Control Valve wiring

I've been trying to isolate some stubborn idle issues and it finally occurred to me to check for engine codes. Turns out that there was a code 34: short or open ISC Solenoid.

It looks from the wiring diagram as though there should be continuity from terminal 4Q at the ECU to the ISC.

I pulled everything apart to confirm and am a bit puzzled… Not only is there no continuity, the wire colors don't match…

My question: Am I missing something here?

Any guidance is appreciated:)

the ISC gets power from a black/white wire, and then the other wire goes to the ECU, ecu grounds the valve.

if the wires don't match, do you have the correct valve? the US spec cars have an AWS valve that is almost the same thing right next to the ISC. ISC is the one on the rear, white 2 pin connector

Thanks for the info! You've confirmed my suspicion that the black/white wire was the hot side...

The sleuthing continues!
