Idle problem
Advice wanted: I have a 93 rx7 with about 76k on it. I begining to experience a very rough idle when I come to a stop after the car is warmed up. Once at a stop the car feels like it's chocking. It idles between 500rpm and 0, sometimes it just shuts off. I have several assumptions about the problem, but was looking for some more direct guidance.
Possible problems: Clogged precat and/or main cat. vaccum leak. clogged fuel filter. I would like to know if I'm heading in the right direction with this and also if anyone else has experienced this problem. I have taken it to my local dealer who just adjusted the idle, needless to say this didn't fix the problem. Thanks, Stoves |

Clutch switch. It's under $10. Mounts on the clutch pedal.
Try it before you get into everything else. |
i have an auto, what now? =p

I've had exactly a same problem, but I've fixed it by adjusting the notch screw which is located under the greddy arm, and also adjusted the screw and nut which wish located on top of the throttle. I just had to get a right ratio of its opening for both. After that I've reset my ecu and was ready togo.....i tested by turning on the light, AC, fan, radio when the motor was warm and it did not struggle at all after.
