I need specific info on a bolt. ASAP

I need the length, diameter and pitch info on the bolt that secures the top of the air pump down.
Mine fell and magically disappeared, and yes I undid the undertray cover. Here's a picture of the hole it goes through. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...d=223463&stc=1 |

Anyone with any more info on it, please speak up before tomorrow morning. If I have no luck with it the first time, yes, I will probably call Malloy Mazda and get some exact info on it. |
The bolt is exactly as long as the brackets on the air pump. The mazda bolt is partly threaded - only about an inch.
If you know anyone local with FD parts it shouldn't be hard to get one. Dave |

Oh and the only other FD I've seen in Louisiana was in "hondahater"s driveway for a few weeks (was a friend of his). So junkyards are pretty much out of the question down here.

I would put in a bigger search party to find that bolt. That's a BIG damn bolt, relatively speaking, and if you actually saw it drop into the engine bay, a good search should turn it up. Get down and dirty in there with a flashlight.
I REALLY hate to just let fasteners go if I lose one. It's VERY possible it's sitting in your radiator fans - first time the fans kick on, that could go through your radiator. Or it could do any number of other bad things to your car. That's far more of a reason to find it, IMHO. Dale |

Dale And it's not like it's a tiny rusty old bolt that would blend in with the rest of the bay. This bolt is relatively new, really long and bright silver in color. I just don't understand, there's only so many ways a bolt can fall. |
