I need help identifying 2 wires!!!

I am in the process of cleaning up the engine bay in my LS swapped FD and I have two wires i cant identify.

The first wire is coming out of the side of the fuse panel on the drivers side shock tower (the box with the ABS, EGI, Defog...). It is a black wire with a green stripe and little gray stripes on it. It has a eye terminal on it like it was grounded to the chassis, but im not sure what it actually is.

The second wire is coming from the harness that the above fuse box is a part of. It is a white wire with a black stripe and little gray stripes. Right now, it is currently wired in to the ground that closes the circuit on a relay. Im assuming the relay operates the radiator fans, but it was not hooked to the fans when I pulled the engine.

Ive searched the forum (impossible without hours of searching) and tried to download a couple different manuals and schematics, but reading wiring schematics isnt my forte. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

HI there - just been to check my engine and loom thats all out of the car.

1 - the black and green wire - I assume this is a 'light gauge' one It goes into the EGI main relay (that is, from the reay, it feeds the fuel injectors - as a black and orange wire, and also feeds power to most of the solenoid rack and air pump relay. Source is 12V from the 15A engine fuse feed. It also has a feed off the the fuel pump relay (speed). I am not sure why its got eye terminal on it..... See Page z28 of the electrical manual - that what my advice is off.

2 - the white wire w balc stripe - I am pretty sure this the one that runs to the alternator. Its actually for the 'battery' warning lamp! It basically looks at the output from the voltage regulator in the alternator. That plug its on it plug X12. see Z 24 of the electrical manual.

Hope that helps, but please check the pages I ref to.
Cheers, Rusty

Thank a million. That's kinda what I figured on the black and green wire. Being as im using an LS, I have no need for that wire. I don't know if maybe the previous owner grounded it out to prevent a CEL or something. But now that I know what it is, I know how to take care of it. As far as the white and black wire, I cant tell enough about the diagrams to know anything about it. Its not connected to a plug, at least no in the general vicinity that im working, unless it was cut from one. I cant figue out what it would be that someone would operate a relay off of it

Ill do some more checking, but I really appreciate the help!
