i need electrical help...engine swap in progress

so i put a new wiring harness on my engine (from a lower mileage motor) and it had an exposed 12v wire on it, it sparked against some stainless braid line and needless to say, i ended up putting my old harness back on

after blowing the main 120A fuse, i crossed those connections over, replaced the harness, and i still don't get a fuel pump when the key is in the on position, nor does my PowerFC come on......

can anyone help me troubleshoot this? why wouldn't my ECU come on? the only relays i've removed are air pump, and retra relay

can you buy relays at autozone? 120A fuse?

also for some reason the fans will NOT go off :(

You should be able to pick up a 120A fuse at any high quality car audio shop. A lot of amps use them.

As far as why you don't get power to other things, I have no clue, I suck at electronics.

Where was this hot wire located?

93BlackFD 08-11-03 09:54 AM

where the rats nest used to be, those wires were exposed after being cut off the harness....not good

my brother was in charge of electrical on the motor

the main 120 AMP fuse is a mazda special order (Mine blew before). What I did while I was waiting for one is get a 120 A fuse from pepboys and bend the pins to fit in the FD.

you can also use 2 60A fuses. There is an extra space for them and those are more readily available.

okay, the yellow relay is not reading any resistance on the coils...can someone check theirs and see what the OHM reading is?
