I need advise!!!

I'm looking to buy a used 93 rx7 that has about 54k original miles. When I called the owner he informed me that he actually had the engine rebuilt at around 40k or so miles because it was overheating on him. If I were to buy this car it will be my daily driver and I usually do 15k miles or so a year. What would all of you advise me to do, should I buy it or should I let it go. The fact that the owner had to rebuild the engine at 40k miles is about my only concern with the car.

Start their...scroll down to the B section...under BUYING.

Do you know anything about the car? or rx7's in general? If not, do you homework, and study up.

You can't have spent five minutes researching FDs if you are surprised at a 40k mile rebuild. Read the FAQ.

These cars are great, the kudo is you must know what your doing with them. They can be great as a dd but they are much better as a kick ass fantasy come true drive! You really need to know what you're getting into. The cars are a real money pit. Not because they need it, but because you'll find you can't help it. If you car is not at its maximum potential, it WILL compel you to "make it so."
