HPC coating - catching up on writeups part 7

for the love of god will this ever stop!! - another winter mod catch up posting :-)

I wanted to coat some parts on the track car to try to reduce underhood temps, protect intake temps, et, et.

I have done jet-hot before on my street car but I decided to go with HPC coatings and I am VERY happy with it so far.

The coatings are top notch and they were good to work with. After many track events the coatings seem to be holding up very well.

There are 2 coating, one for intake stuff (lim, uim, ic pipes,et) and one for exhaust stuff (ex manifold, dp, mp, et, et)

They will only coat the outside of exhaust parts that are pre-turbo, but most post-turbo exhaust parts and intake parts can be coating inside and out. My order went well tother than they forgot to coat the inside of my DP, but that no biggie for me.

Here are pics of the intake parts:

And pics of the exhuast parts:

Its hard to say how much it helped with out actual temp data in a before/after type format, but I am certain it has helped total underhood temps and intake temps.

Why won't they coat the inside of the pre-turbo parts?

"Why won't they coat the inside of the pre-turbo parts?"

My guess is that they dont want to risk a piece flaking off and killing the turbo.

if you don't mind me asking, how much was the coatings?

HPC Hi-per extreme is the best coating by far that I've ever used. I've had the black on my exhaust header for about 4 years and still looks flawless.

I always thought it was a good idea to put a flex joint in the WG dump tube...when things expand, heard stories of cracking.
