Hows this RX-7 sound?

-$17900
-1995 , I believe to be a base model
-Automatic
-62,000 miles
-Montego Blue, looks to be in great condition
-Tan interior, great condition

Not sure how it runs just yet, havn't been able to drive it yet due to my schedule. Only noticable problem from the outside is that the rear emblem is broken. Hopefully I'll get a chance to test drive it this week.

Yep.

futurerexowner 06-30-02 09:14 PM

Well, since its not a sports car because its Auto, what exactly should it be called??? ;)

But seriously dont buy an Auto, you see too many guys wishing they had a stick after owning an auto FD for a while. Although that is a pretty good price for a 95 with those miles. Keep in mind automatic trans usually brings the value of these cars down a bit due to being less desireable, and they are less desireable for a good reason... just food for thought... good luck finding your FD!

I don't either, but a 5speed swap would be on my mind. I'd prefer to wait for a 5speed, but they are just impossible to find remotely close to here.

futurerexowner 06-30-02 09:17 PM

Stick it out, a 5spd swap is much more of a PITA than finding one that is 5spd to begin with and spend the time you would have on the trans and put some serious mods on it.

oneflytrini 06-30-02 09:23 PM

an automatic sports car.......is automatically not a sports car..

i forgot i got it from someone on the forums

Munchy2000 06-30-02 09:49 PM

there's a tan cloth interior? never seen one...

Nathan Kwok 06-30-02 09:52 PM

If you really want a 5spd then i suggest to wait. The car sounds like a good deal, '95s are extremely rare, but only a good deal for someone wanting an automatic (hey they're out there...). My 2 cents...

lawn boy 06-30-02 10:03 PM

oh what i would do for a 95.....

Leather.

weaklink 06-30-02 10:27 PM

he needs to come off the price a bit...60K is a lot of miles. I paid that for mine with 40K.

Fd3BOOST 06-30-02 10:36 PM

It's an automatic!!!!! I would never give that much for an automatic.

Ohseyun 07-01-02 02:29 AM

Honestly, i would not pay that much for an automatic. From what i know, the automatics on the 3rd gen takes away the point of the car. Just my imo

futurerexowner 07-01-02 02:39 AM

Yeah you will lose alot more power than you are going to be comfortable giving away in that trans. Also I dont think base came with leather, but I believe there was a PEP(prefered equipment package) in the 94 95 So that is probably what it is... just FYI...

Silex 07-01-02 02:54 AM

Not to mention also this guys. Anyone ever look through the manual and auto portion of the shop manual? The damn auto section is 250 pages long o_0. I didn't print that crap out since it was unnecessary :p:. Now the manual, that's like 40. can I get a whoop whoop? Manual is simple and more fun. How do you lose?

diablone 07-01-02 11:50 AM

I'm going to have to agree with everyone here and just continue waiting it out til I come across the right one. But I'm still going to take it for a spin. :D
