How much noise with a HF cat and....
I was planning on puttin a High flow cat in my car. Just want to know how much more noisy my car will become after that? also do i need to port the wastegate with a highflow cat too or is it only with the midpipe?

You don't need to port the wastegate when using a hi-flo cat. It has enough back pressure to keep boost creep from happening.
As far as noise, that mostly depends on your catback. |
With a HF Cat and the RB dual tip, the car is a bit louder at idle and cruise conditions, but nothing offensive. It will draw attention when you get on the throttle though. That has it's own good and bad points :p:

i used to have a dp,hiflo, stock cat setup. the sound wasn't any different than it had been before the mods were put on.

DP Hi-Flo and HKS hyper is loud. If you are staying sequential... Get the hi flo!

Reliability wise? Well, IMO, the hi-flo cat. It has enough back pressure to keep boost creep from happening thus allowing you to control boost easier. However, a midpipe will give you better performance, but you have to be ready to deal with being able to control your boost (not to mention smelling like an exhaust pipe every time you drive your car). |

hey i have the apexi GT cat and a random tech main cat i didnt notice a diff in sound but i did notice that the stock main cat was deeper but its still loud as hell i have to turn up my radio

Get a midpipe, its lighter and much cheaper. I got no boost spike or creep with my mp and felt the power right away. Best mod I ever did. Only draw back is that there is no hook up for the airpump and its makes the garage smell. Oh yes and its gonna be louder than a hi flo cat, watch out at full boost cause it screems :)
