How much main pulley wobble at idle?

Just noticed quite a bit of wobble at idle.

How much do you have? Is it stationary in it's orbital path? Or does it seem slightly elliptical?

I have a significantly ported engine, light flywheel, a decent size single, and a "few" other mods.

Wondering if anyone has any vid of their car at idle showing the main pulley with similar mods.

Revving the engine makes mine a perfect orbit at higher revs.

You should not be able to see a woble in the main pully. If you do, something is wrong. Most likely you pullys are not on correct or some dirt has come between. Have you painted them or something? That might do it.

If it's not the pully then it might be the center bolt that is loose. Or the needle baring that is next to the stationary gear is not propperly alligned or something. I have seen it twice, once was the pullys that was painted, the other time it was the needle bearing that was not sat correct.

No paint. Car has been together for 8k miles with no changes.

There's 4 bolts that hold the pulleys on. Might want to make sure they're tight. Or maybe your belts are too tight. If you look at my build thread, there's a vid of mine running. No wobbling

Aftermarket UR pulley: no bolts like stock.

Going to run without the alt belt, then check for metal in the oil, then pull the front cover.

Will check out your thread. Thanks!

Thanks to Zavier for the local help / debug process.

i have an SR motorsports crank pulley and the bolts are most likely the same as yours. you should not have any wobble. i wouldnt go as far as to pull the front cover just yet though. why dont you just try taking it off and inspecting it? i think you may not have tightened it down completely correct. it may not be flush with the hub

Filtered the oil through a coffee filter. Looks like it might be the needle bearing.
