How much hp? and how much faster?

I was just wondering how much hp i would have around and how much faster i would be... when I raced my car at PMI in Pueblo, Colorado where the altitude is over 4,000 ft. my car ran a 14.6 with just the apexi N1 exhuast. and i was wondering with a apexi power intake and downpipe how much faster i would get and how much hp i would be looking at. And the track isnt great and the people up there siad i was running a allright time even though it was my first time racing and i thought i could get better. But i guess alltitude does make a difference in time.

14.6 is not very good for an FD even completely stock :o

What was your 60' time?

and as far as the question 'how much power will i be making' goes; it depends on a lot of variables so I wont even bother with answering. Trust me, you'll be able to go faster, just depends on your driving.

well the people there said the allitude was a factor and the time i was running was about right for where i was at becuase there was a viper there running 13's and c5 vettes running 14's with me. so i think my driving is pretty good especailly when i can beat a 2002 LS1 camaro what was a 6-speed and had exhuast, and not to metion hanging with or beating c5 vettes!

NHRA uses a correction factor of 0.9754 for a turbocharged car ET at PMI. So yes, altitude does make a difference. Not a lot, but a difference nonetheless.

With that said, I pulled a 13.9 at Bandimere (5800ft, as opposed to PMI, which is 4900ft). My car was completely stock. A few months later I ran at PMI, only mod was a downpipe. That track sucks, it is incredibly hard to get out of the hole (zero traction), yet I still managed to run a 13.8. Those times are NOT corrected to sea-level.

So in summary, you can get better times, you just need some practice.

Altitude plays a huge factor in it

Yeah I guess I do need a little more practice. Any pointers to give me about how to race my car properly? Thanks!
