I tighten them until they are finger tight and then i give a about a 1/4 turn with a wrench.

It's 13-17 Nm, or 9.5-13 ft lbf according to the FSM. This only really applies if you have a torque wrench.

Or you could use a torque wrench & torque them to 9.5-13 ft-lbs per the manual on page G-18

i have never met a person that actually torques down spark splugs?!?!

dubulup 01-23-06 03:59 PM

gudntite <--I think its a german word.

Just make sure you give them a thin coat of anti-seize. It's always a good idea, but especially on these cars!

And be careful if you DO use some kind of lubricant/protectant...if you go too hard on it you'll get it in there WAY too tight. Put it in finger tight with lube and then about a 1/4-1/2 turn. No more. The last thing you want is them suckers stuck in there.

Put two fingers on the wrench & tighten away.

9.5-13lbs like the other said but when i did mine, i couldnt fit my torque wrench up there ( i was doing it from under the car) so i just finger tightened it, then 1/4 turn.
