I'm also runing 13PSI but on less mods and the same ECU... seems like plenty. I have another ECU tuned fro 14.7(1 BAR) but I dont think I will be using it and if I do I'll still use a manual boost controller to bring it down to 13PSI

I was running 11 psi, with a downpipe, gutted cat, stock catback, blitz intake, and a manual bleed Home Depot Special boost controller. It was non-sequential too. Lost the motor due to an overheat but never stuttered or anything from detonation. Stock ECU.

I don't think it's the boost that kills, but rather the detonation (via A/F ratios, gas, octane )and additional elements that makes all the difference in the world on whether or not ur apex seals go kaboom.

14 lbs on pfc (nice and rich) 3" downpipe, 3" midpipe, intake, fuel pump. everything else stock, on low miles. Spring time will be non-sequential, dp, mp, cat-back (gt-spec or nur-spec), intake, radiator, FMIC and some bigger injectors, and im undecided on psi for now.

where do you think the extra air comes from to cause the detonation? :)

oh, i run 13 also. CA, IC, DP, MP, CB, PFC

KaiFD3S 11-30-04 12:51 PM

13lbs too...see sig

Fatman0203 11-30-04 03:38 PM

BTW I think a big difference is the difference between Cali piss gas and everyone else. I had no problem running the 11lbs of boost on 93 octane.

the_glass_man 11-30-04 03:41 PM

20 lbs. :D
