How to install boost controller Greddy Profec B II
Hey guys,
I am about to buy the GREDDY Profec B II Boost Controller and I was wondering if any one had any instructions on how to install it. Any tips/gotcha would be most welcome :icon_tup: Also do you guys have any suggestions on were to mount the controller? (I would prefer to keep the look of the interior as stock as possible, glove box?) Thanks |

Awesome, thanks Mahjik. Any ideas on how hard is it going to be to place it in the glove compartment?
|
Dont buy it , its a mess to set up. Push button A, turn button B, press twice to set...ect. Who made this ? the guy same guy that convinced Coke to change its taste ?
Save yourself some time and get the Profec type S. Its much better looking in person and it holds boost. |
just installed a profec spec II today. only took like 20 minutes to set it up. works great
mounted in passenger glove box |
fstrnyou: I'll soon be installing a profec spec II as well. Any tips for me? Are the hoses that came with the kit long enough for routing the control unit in the glove box?

Any photos with hoses and conections will be helpfull.

there is enough line to mount the control box in the glove compartment but where i mounted the stepper motor, there wasn't enough of the 6mm line to hook it up to wastegate and compressor housing. i'll go get some pics now for you...

the only tip i can give you is.....be careful when pulling the wiring through the firewall. make sure the hole is big enough for those plugs. i yanked the plug off the steppermotor wires trying to pull it through. lucky for me, there was still about an inch of wire coming off the plug, so i soldered it back together. i'm pissed, but it still works. i already had a boost line going to one of my guages, so i just installed the " Y " in that line. also already had and ingnition on source and a ground already routed for my guages so i spliced into those as well. so basically, the only thing i had to plumb through the fire wall was the wiring for the stepper motor. piece of cake.

Middle of page. It's for a single but it might be of some help. No more complicated to operate than any other gadget I've owned. HTH, Crispy |
