How good of a deal did I get on this FD?

94 CW, 80k miles on chassis. About 10k on motor and all these parts - koyo rad, greddy fmic, 850/1600cc Inj/rail, PFC, blitz full 3" exhaust, aftermarket pulleys, defi2 setup. Has all the mods you'd really want for a single turbo but those are the highlights. . Interior is 9/10 exterior is maybe 8/10. Needed a battery. Paid $9,000. Runs awesome, dyno'd at 410 at 17psi on a mustang dyno. All receipts, car was from AZ.

fairly good. depends on who did the rebuild and its #s

preludesh2000 10-04-13 08:59 PM

Sounds good to me , if everything is in working order, and was tuned properly...
I look at it this way... if you wanted the car , and you think its worth it , then its worth it

Tem120 10-04-13 09:38 PM

like stated above aslong as its tuned right . everything is running well it seems like a good deal , I've invested more then 17k into my car its interrior is 2/10 , engine is getting rebuilt and doesnt even have paint LMAO . BUT I still think its worth it every time I put the pedal down or take a curb at 3 times the speed limit...

OR well I will once the engine is back.. LOL

jayscoobs 10-04-13 09:51 PM

Good deal considering the mods if those are the mods you wanted in the first place. Mods are only as good as its tune as everyone said. Ive spent a lot more than I needed because I keep changing things. Got a great deal on my chassis, did a all stock rebuild and have a good running car now for around 7k. BUT I decided to go single so now cars entire price goes up, but thats how the car world is.

Pretty good deal you got there. Good thing about the car that comes with mods, you can easily sell them here and change to something else. You will always have a buyer on this forum.

LuvingMy93FD 10-05-13 01:38 AM

Sounds like a good deal to me, as long as it all holds up well.

00SPEC 10-05-13 04:05 AM

sounds like there's something they're not telling you for $9,000

(or i am bitter that i paid much more for mine...haha!)

but for real, sounds like an AMAZING deal...soooo u know,

too good to be true usually is

sort of thing

Oun 10-05-13 04:23 AM

Sounds like a great deal there OP. Most people buy a rolling chassis for about 6-8K. Car seems great from what you're describing but I have to use my imagination since no pics.

brb, restarting computer since pics didn't work.

Montego 10-05-13 06:05 AM

lol seriously? you just bought a 400rwhp fd that runs great, has very decent exterior and interior, rebuild with enough miles to prove that it was a good job, and with chassis miles < 100K. What else do you want and how much do you think you should had paid?

Usually 9k fds are beat, meaning on the neglected side but in running condition. So all those that are saying pretty good deal, decent deal- really? yeah no its a killer deal. Close to 10k in mods (if done correctly), without the headache of doing it and throwing in the car for free. That is what he's got here. I'll be honest, I sometimes really wonder about this forum and what people think things are worth.

Montego 10-05-13 06:17 AM

Unless the car has a salvage tittle the guy who sold it to you, IMO was off his rocker.

He knows exactly what it's worth but I'll play along and pat him on back, GOOD JOB, GREAT DEAL :icon_tup:

bajaman 10-05-13 06:03 PM

well goodie goodie gumdrops for you!

j/k, it's a good deal...but you already knew that.

adam c 10-05-13 08:58 PM

Sounds like a great deal to me. Rebuilt engines are sometimes risky, but a nice interior, and good paint are solid. Obviously I'm biased toward CW's. Congrats.

GoodfellaFD3S 10-06-13 05:28 AM

You got robbed.

edit: joking of course. Congrats on the car!

blkops 10-06-13 08:55 PM

Rebuilt by a reputable shop.

Manny_Apex 10-06-13 11:38 PM

Ehh...I don't trust people unless they show me the paperwork, then I go show the shop the paperwork to make sure its real. But great deal man.

blkops 10-07-13 02:44 PM

Physically was at the shop with the car

stevensimon 10-07-13 04:23 PM
