how to get hose on turbo off???

whats up guys, found my boost leak!!! it was located on one of the turbo pipes the two 6mm hose connectors snaped right off. the air pipe is connected to the primay turbo just below the air pump(hard black plastic). it is almost u shaped. It is connected by two nuts. one on the top, one on the bottom. how do i get the bottom nut off when working from above, its on a very hard angle cant fit any thing underneath.

Your describing what I would call an elbow or a 90 (a bit different than a "u" shaped pipe). In any event, to get better access, you may want to pull the air filter box.

i already have pulled the airbox out. i just cant get to the nut on the bottom, even with an extension ratchet

Have you tried a swivel socket?

It is difficult to get to
There is a bracket that is bolted to those same bolts this holds the hoses to wastegate and turbo control actuator. Workshop Manual is your answer
Good Luck

I just used a plain 10mm box-end wrench to get mine off. You just need to work into a spot where you have the clearance to swing the wrench. Once you have it free/loose, you should be able to turn it off with your fingers.

Yea, just use a medium length extension w/ a 10 mm. You can get it off I'm positive; I did. Use the force and feel your way through this one.

Just removed/installed mine on Sunday. 1/4" ratchet with a 3" extension and a 10mm socket. It's tight but so is everything else on this car.

should be easy enough to get at with the big intake hoses out.

No. I had mine off because I was replacing the large vac hose to the TCA.
