Gotham holder is the most common solution. Also, can be modified to mount in cigarette lighter socket: link.

That's a really clean install, good job :). I may do the same thing with the serial connector on the kick panel.

I just use some velcro, it does melt in the heat though, so my buddy found some type of velcro that didnt easily melt (the adhesive).

efini82 12-31-06 07:46 AM

you could modify a mobile/cell phone holder.... just an idea i'll try (seeing as i workin a mobile phone shop) when i get round to fitting my pfc

LovMyRx7 12-31-06 07:55 AM

How do you get them to fit in the center console? Like where the change holder goes? I've seen that a few times. Sorry for thread jacking!

efini82 12-31-06 08:06 AM

you guys reckon this would work? can either fix to dash (dont really wanna stick anything to the dash) or on the air vent grills with the mounts.

^^^I use a similiar type of cell phone holder that latches to the air vents. Works great and only cost ten me bucks.

I used velcro, but I am not very happy with it. I will use some kind of adaptor to hold the Commander at the cigarette place.

Velcro, works great.

TRISPEEDFD3S 12-31-06 09:42 AM

Moconner you rock! LOL I'm going to do that when I have a chance. My commander is just chillin with no holder.

NissanConvert 12-31-06 10:04 AM

I have a radar detector plugged into my lighter socket. I haven't yet fabbed up a better solution. Any ideas? The lighter socket mounting looks teh sechs.

I'd like to see more pics of how people installed the Gotham holder

wReX 12-31-06 12:31 PM

...cheap/old phone holder from Radio Shack. I like being able to adjust it to different positions if the sun is glaring off the screen or something.
