That is where the 2 inch long hose goes from your blow off valve. Mine is disconnected and I capped the hole in the airbox
Oh, and I just noticed that huge single turbo in the pic, you must have an aftermarket blow off valve. |
nope, all stock (well excpet for the BOV)... that's an HKS SSQV... my bro bought 2 for his S4 a few months back but doesn't use them anymore (dunno why), so we threw it on the FD... that's the big silver thing in the pic... yeah i prolly shoulda capped that line too....
EDIT: threw in a another pic so no one else would get confused ;) .... the first was a bird's eye view... https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...&postid=938001 jimmy |
Just plug the air box hose nipples so that they don't suck in engine compartment air. I used a plasic coca cola bottle cap (see pic of engine compartment in sig).

Yeah just cap if off. You could use a breather filter element or something like it aswell.
|
Jimmy, did you have that BOV on at the drags the other night. I would like to hear it sometime.
|
jonski - yeah i read the bottlecaps work, but that was after i plugged the first hole (that sounds kinda wierd...)
ryan - no, andy and i just threw it in on sunday... it's one of dano's old bov's... i can't remember if he had them in at the drags last spring but it sounds the same... nice and high-pitched. at the drags i had the poor-man bov mod or whatever it's called, this is much louder though, trust me :bigthumb: |
