Hooking up air pump

Hey guys,

Need to pass smog =P bought the car without the air pump inside and honestly never seen one with the air pump in lol. Need a little guidance from the pro's to make sure I don't make a stupid mistake =)

First question, slightly off-topic: photo 1 is of two plugs that are right next to eachother, the one in the middle of the pic is for the air pump. any idea what the other plug (the lower one) goes to?

Photo 2 is a close up of the rear air pipe on the air pump, and photo 3 is a close up of the front air pipe on the air pump. Both have red circles over where I'm assuming they hook up to. Can anyone confirm or slap me across the face and let me know the correct way to hook it up? I did check the service manual but it mainly talks about how to remove the airpump, and says remove the hoses, then says install the airpump in the reverse order... lol =/

Photo 4 is a zoomed out pic of the entire air pump that also has circles around where I'm assuming the pipes hook up.

Note one of the HKS intakes is currently pulled out while I'm installing the air pump (so there's no confusion =p )...

Speaking of installing the air pump, is there a way to loosen the belt that the airpump uses? Or do you just slide the belt off the pulley with no lips on the sides?

Thanks for any help!

To loosen the belt. There is an adjustment screw at the alternator. You will then have to loosen the bottom adjustment bolt on the airpump and the top bolt to slide the airpump over to allow the belt to slip on. Pry the airpump back over as tight as possible without breaking stuff and adjust the belt back tight then lock it down. Hook the hoses up the way you have them circled.

As Sm1nts2escape said your airpump connections are fine

For the electrical connector, what colors are the wires? Near the airpump connector it could be the Turbo Control, Turbo PreControl, or Wastegate Control.
