Home made GM 3 Bar map sensor bracket
Just picked up a 3 bar map sensor and figured i make a bracket for it to mount in stock location. Just wanted to show you my 10 min project. Very simple but it does the job well. Next on my lil project list is making a battery tray and i just picked up tri point ast so need to mount that somewhere. I also saw some coil relocation mounts made where the cruise control normally goes.
Here goes a picture of the bracket before i drilled the mounting holes. Nothing fancy http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...x/b5726504.jpg |
Myself, I just took the stock bracket and bent it to make it work with the GM sensor. Lazy man's mod indeed. :D Not super pretty but it will work.
I know SakeBomb Garage sells a replica of Crispy's design. I'm sure your DIY one will work well too. :icon_tup: |
thats cool i just made myself one as well.
it looks good and that was so cool how you could make in 10 mins :icon_tup:
Yeah quick cuts with vertical band saw and few welds with tig welder and it was all done
Got bored and tried to polish it.

Looks nice! You should engrave something on the top flat surface :D
You should make another one and sell it to me. LOL good job

Is that 100% aluminum sheets that you cut out ?
Jonny thats good. Let me know when ready to send payment.
yeah just aluminum sheets
im thinking of fabbing up oil catch can, coil relocation rack, surge tank, and misc brackets in the engine bay with aluminum. I might try getting a anodizing setup and start adding some color to the engine bay with all the aluminum
You should fab a bracket for a HKS Twin Power.
^ Personally I went with the bolted-to-firewall method, but as always, beautiful work Crispy.
if you can make a coil relocation kit on the frame rail closer to the fron of the car on the drivers side.. i would buy it off you... doesnt need to be polished either...
Yes Crispy something like that. Did you made that one? do you have another one? :D

I'll more than likely pick up stuff off of you that helps make things pretty and convenient.
Especially since we just so happen to be in the same city and all. Haha. |
lol john once i get the garage finished we can make a side gig of this :) i have a lot of "that" aluminum at the house. stainless too. hell you know danny is talking about starting a fab shop on the side. already have someone interested in outsourcing.
I am thinking sleepy eyes linkages and brackets for dual fxr projectors next... ps: don't give me that get your car running crap, she likes her guts splayed all over the garage.:egrin: |
oh yeah how did the 3000gt do?
@houseofsmokes, hit me up anytime. Getting knee surgery Jan 10th so I'll be out of work with a lot of free time for awhile
@chris, yeah I'll stop nagging you to get yours going just as long as you let me use your tig welder lol. And yeah we did a ruff street tune on the 3000gt running on 20psi. Got 11.97 with 1.8 60ft. Trapped at 118. |
