Holes on Driver's Side Strut tower

Hi, I am trying to use the two pre-drilled holes on the side of the driver's side strut tower.
Can't seem to find a screw that actually can be placed in there.
If anybody used those holes, would you please pitch in? I would really appreciate it.
I was going to drill them slightly bigger, but I would rather not take the intake off for such a trivial issue.
Thank you.
Giovanni

If they are threaded holes, it should take either a 10mm bolt or a 12mm bolt. Some of the holes are just through holes with no threads, that's also a possibility.

You may want to post pics of the holes in question and what you're trying to attach.

Thanks Dale, they are not threaded and -to my surprise- they are not exactly the same bore diameter either...
I tried to put an 8mm screw through the top hole and it would not get through for the love of God (8mm means the shaft itself is 8 diameter). But the same screw would actually go in the bottom hole.

I managed to put a self-tapping on the top, but this is only a temporary solution, if things work out I will do this differently, so I'm OK for the moment.

For the record, I have made a bracket to put in a temporary catch can and see how it works, so I am trying to put the bracket in, so I can place the catch can there. It's a DIY, if I'm happy with how it works, I'll be buying a serious one. Only problem will be to find a spot to mount it...

The holes are covered with a piece of tape (looks like hockey tape almost) and it was painted at the factory that way, since when I peeled it off, the primer shows right under the tape. They are on the vertical side of the strut tower, the lower one is covered by the bracket that holds up the relay box and a few more things (it's a pretty complex bracket and it's held in place by 2 screws).

...Maybe? Excuse my ignorance, but I don't know what that is. I'll look it up.

And thank you.
