HKS F-Con tuning question

I was just given a HKS F-con with FCD. My FD has a stage 3 M2 ECU, M2 air box, M2 medium IC. Anybody have any recommendations on a settings for FCD and F-con internal tumbler. Any help would be nice. I haven't installed it yet. Is it worth the trouble or should I just sell it?

I'm running that in my ride for the past 2 years. What you need to do is go to hks web site, and ask for their techs. Tell them what year and make and what mods you are running. They will tell tou to open up the cover to the ECU, and there's a chip with a label on it, give HKS those # and letters. They will tell you what it will support, and what to turn the dial too inside the CPU and FCD. My car is in the shop so i can't tell you what chip i have. Mines is for boost controller, full exhaust and intake. Then i have inside setting at 2 and FCD at 7.But do not go by my readings, you might have a different mod chip inside.

oh and the mod chips only cost $50 by the way

If you are already running an M2 ecu, you have no need for the F-con. It will do nothing for you other than put your motor at risk.

If you want to mod the car beyond the M2 ecu can handle, it's time to get a REAL ecu, like the Apexi PFC, Haltech, AEM, etc.

F-con PRO is a stand alone..... Pain-o-butt to tune...

F-con old one... Hummm it can be both a stand alone and a piggy back i believe...

hmmmm, the only f-con's i ever see, are in japanese cars done by hks tuners. like jt-imports said, they are horrible to tune and for any rotary there are better options

Well from what ive heard around the streets is that the PFC is no walk in the park either and that you have to be tuning all the time. Does anyone know anything about the datalogit system?

RotaSpinna69---I dont really tune my PFC ever, unless I decide to drive it when its super cold or super hot out.

The F-con is still probably the most popular ECU here, the problem is its a pain to tune, it has more precise tunning then the PFC, which I dont think is that neccesary but the people that use the F-con are usually speed. tunning, car shops so they have that ability and time.
