Supposed to be pretty good in Japan. I would stick with the powerfc because of the knowledge base here in the US. I dont know about New Zealand however...

I had an FCON back in the day on my FC.

They're OK, kind of old technology. The FCON has its own boost sensor so it sees how much boost the engine is running, and actually alters the fuel injection pulses based on the map in it's ROM. It does give you quite a bit of fuel.

Hard part is you have NO idea if it comes with all the parts - there's quite a bit. The FCON, the proper ROM in the FCON, the wiring harness that goes between the ECU and stock harness, the boost sensor for the FCON and harness, and the HKS FCD that plugs into the FCON harness. If you don't have any of those parts, the FCON is useless.

Really, you'd probably be miles ahead with a good used chipped ECU from Japan as far as an inexpensive alternative. The FCON has no control over ignition timing, just fuel.

F-CON V pro. the (gold one). is what most of top tunner in japan use. from what I know it is a 32 bit ECU. and compare to 16 bit Power FC. it should be give more fine tune than PFC. but the down side. it dont come with english support. so pretty hard to tune it, if you are not japanese ;)

Like diyamn25 mentioned above, I've read that most of people in Japan uses F-CON V PRO over PFC for single tubo applications. 32bit ECU.
