High Impedance 1600cc Top feed injectors
Any body come across these?

you'll have the same fitment issues as all the other injectors with the bottom 14mm o-ring. Some people use spacers or other solutions. You can try calling up fiveomotorsports and ask them if they have "import" fitment on the bottom for those, or something to put on the bottom of the injectors to make them fit.

and these? so many options actually but dont know which is the correct ones to get, I know the rail kit Im looking at getting comes with spacers, but if I dont have to run them I prefer to not run them I guess, so the import fit have 16mm orings at the bottom ? they look more like spacers than orings ?? :? |

This configuration would be correct on the bottom. The fitment on the top depends on the rail you have. The injectors pictured above would NOT fit in most top feed rails sold for the FD (which usually have the larger 14mm bore). However, they would fit the OEM top feed rail found on the FC engines. |
would it be preferable to go with the configuration showin the photo, ( I presume the thick spacer looking thing is a rubber oring ? ) or the traditional metal spacer in the LIM with just standard 14mm oring ?

IMO the configuration above is better. it's reversible in the sense that you aren't installing anything into the manifold and thus you have nothing to remove. I have used a somewhat similar approach with the older low impedence 1600's, by inserting the lower o-ring/cushion/whatever from a series 5 OEM top feed injector on to the Bosch injector. When you buy from Injector Dynamics they recommend this approach as well

right, just enquired if they have the same setup at 74mm tall and with a 14mm top oring.
but with the traditional metal spacers to pack the hole out to suit the 14mm bottom oring, is there a chance of a leak ? I mean there is no oring between the spacer and the LIM is there? not knowing how tight of a clearance the fit is, but I wouldnt imagine it to be a completely leak free seal, or is it a non issue in reality ? cheers |

well the kit Im going to use comes with a spacer, and was wondering it it would leak with out the orings, as it doesnt look like it has rings to me. dont really want the hassle of ordering these from overseas if I dont have to
