Hey Raven Rx7 Same Thing Happend To Me!!!!!!

Hey bro, the same fuckin thing happened to me yesterday. Talk about bad luck, it was my first day at college, and i was on my way home and it was raining very heavily and not to mention my tires were totally bald.I kept telling my parents to get me a pair of tires for christmas not expensive ones, just ones that would help me get by for our rainy winter here in vancouver bc, because by the spring i was planning on using the money i was saving to buy wider 265/40 zr17 toyo proxes. Anyways the toyos that I had right now were totally bald in the rear, (245/40zr17), to the point were you could see yellow and blue lines. I wasnt to far from the college, the roads were very treachorus, and i could feel my car jolting slightly side to side as i cautiously tapped on the throttle. A van was in front of me ready to make a right turn on to the on ramp, so i decided to accelerate ahead of the car in the opposite lane so i could get in front of the van that was turning in front of me. All of a sudden my car did a complete 360 spin and ended up in the oppisote flow of traffic by going through a few obstacles along the way. A cement side walk and knocking over a sign along with it!!!! fuck i was lucky to be alive man, when i stepped out to examine my car, my front lower part of the bumber right were the radiator sits were the air opening is, is all cracked and chipped.Under neath i examined and found the plastic box like cover that sits below the radiator in the middle of the two front tires was also cracked and hanging down. My rim on the right hand side got cut sliced deep on one small section, amking my tire bulge a little and my front left tire went flat. I also in the process lost my right side review mirror and got a huge dent on the right side door. I fuckin started to cry like a little bitch man, my prize possession was damaged. I love this car more than anything man!!! and now its damaged all because of two piece of shit tires that were bald, fuck!!!!!!!. I should have done something about those fuckin tires. The car started just fine and doesnt make any noises, but i did notice some smoke coming from the opening where the radiator sits, what could that be???? i checked the coolant level and it was fine and the gauge showed the needle still at the normal horizontal spot. I got it towed back to my house and it will be towed to icbc, tommorow. I have insurance so after i get icbc to pay for the damages, what body shop should i go to???????? should i go to a mazda autobody shop????? any ideas, and how long well it take to get it back on the road looking its beautiful self???????? oh yeah well icbc raplace that rim? if they cant find it, well they give me an option of whatever kind i want????:bash: sorry about the long message guys. Guys dont take a risk if you notice your tires are losing tread, because your car could pay the price. I learned my lession, after its out of the shop its going in the garage and well be brought out with new pair of tires and well be driven in dry weather only.

lesson

I think this is a lesson for all of us....I personally wouldn't drive my FD when it is raining really hard. It is foolish and it is common sense. Also, not to make fun of you, but if you can't afford some quality, good tires, that aren't bald, you shouldn't be driving on the road. You not only could cause danger to yourself, but to others. Please be mindful of others.

Luck you were not killed, or did not kill anyone.

Glad to hear that you are ok, but things could have been much worse.

Make sure that everything is examined and fixed properly, ie any suspension/bodywork/radiator/oil cooler.

They will probably try and give you a spare for your damaged wheel, j/k.

I wonder how much damage will be found, and what the total cost will be. Note to self, don't drive with bald tires in the rain.

I hope you get everything fixed up soon.

Man its a shity feeling isnt it..man i put everything into my car... it's my baby.. since it was raining i had that same smoke come from beneath the car..I believe it was water that got on my intercooler. Did you price that plastic brace that goes over the radiator yet? Also that other bracket that goes connects to the front clip was broke on mine. Damn rian.. what kinda tires did you get ....?? Man keep me updated....also ....rain blows!
