HELP!! Wire question!!
Hey guys I need some help here. I need to know what wire links the two harnesses in the engine bay together. I'm working with a harness thats all ripped apart. I looked at all the wiring schematics but they are unclear. There is supposed to be a wire from the engine harness that connects to the emissions harness. I need the colors that they are so I can identify them. Thanks, Mike

Anybody???
|
Of course - That would be the coolant level sensor.....it's black on the em harness and turns br/w on the engine harness.

So how does it connect to the sensor then?? Which sensor is it? The one by the oil pressure sender?
|
Is there a way to test from the plugs on the emissions harness to idetify which wire it is usung continuity??
|
The sensor is in front of the filler neck. You use a continuity meter to determine is a wire is intact, or where it goes.
You are beginning to ask questions that raise a flag saying - what are you doing taking the harness apart in the first place if you cannot determine continuity. LAter |
I know how to determine continuity. I have done this stuff. My question was does the wire connect to any of the plugs in the emissions harness or is it just a wire that passes through. I was looking for a connector pin so i could locate the wire in the harness.

NO or is it just a wire that passes through. YES Green manual is a must when dealing with the harness wiring. Do you have yours out and on page Z-44? Later |
yep sure do. i see in the diagram that it goes from br/w to b but the copy i had printed is crappy. I wasn't sure if their was another connection in there going back to the ecu plugs somewhere. So I can just run one wire from the sensor directly to the engine harness then??
|
Yes, from the sensor directly to the engine harness side, just like the factory schematic shows.
