Help! VMOP PFC
 

Hey guys I have a small issue I hope someone can help troubleshoot. After cleaning the engine bay with a rag and degreaser last night I started it up. It chokes and stalls out, took it around the block and starting in first it bucks and doesn't run smooth at all. Checked the sensor check on the PFC and VMOP is highlighted. From my understanding this is an oil metering pump issue, which has been removed from the car and I'm using a premix. Now I've only owned this car for a yr and put a couple thousand miles on it so I don't know a whole lot yet about the fd. If anyone could point me in the right direction as to what connections to check or where to look it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

your problem is unrelated to the MOP

Check your map sensor! You probably disconnect the boost/vac supply line when you wipe around it

^Agree with both. It's not your VMOP and my first suspect would be the boost sensor.
It's mounted on the firewall near the throttle-body and labeled. Should have a single vacuum hose going to it with the other end secured on the passenger/right side of the upper intake manifold. Both ends should be zip-tied.

ok thanks for the feedback so far guys, but still havent gotten it running smoothly. dies under throttle unless you really rev it up. i checked the map and boost sensors and made sure the vac connections and everything is in tact. the wires at the map sensor harness are a little beat and take a sharp turn but its always been like that. did a quick compression check by pulling a plug from each rotor and cranking with finger blocking one and i got 3 consistent pulses which seems right. followed that by trying to deflood it with a trickle charger on the batter (the battery has been acting up a bit). and after everything was back together, i started it and it seemed to run smoothly for a minute, but shortly after it was running like crap again. just had a new fuel pump installed as well as new chra's for the stock twins and clutch/flywheel. the rear bumper was covered in soot after the 70 mi ride back from the shop. anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated. im thinking next to check the alternator, and maybe trying new gas, but i have close to a full tank which might suck.

oh and apparently the vmop is unrelated, its always been highlighted on the pfc. thanks.

also because of the new clutch it cant be dynotuned until broken in, and because of the lack of tuning i was advised not to get into boost until i break the clutch in and tune it. just want to add in all the details that may help.

checked the battery; 12.5 vdc. checked the alternator; 11.75 vdc.
exhaust out the tailpipe is white and stinks like fuel.
